Group Offerings for Chronic Illness
Living With Chronic Illness:
A therapy group for adults ages 25 to 45 who are living with chronic medical conditions. This group is offered virtually for MA and NH residents.
The next cohort for the “Living With Chronic Illness” virtual group will start August 2026 and meet on the following dates: August 11th and 18th, September 1st, 15th, and 22nd, October 6th and 13th.
The following group cohort is anticipated to start in November 2026. If you wish to be updated about those dates or future groups, please fill out the form under the “contact” section on this website.
Therapy approaches for this group include peer support, grief therapy, compassion-focused, strength-based, and liberation-oriented.
Common topics include but are not limited to processing losses related to chronic illness, navigating health care systems, exploring identity, strengthening self-advocacy skills, and building community.
Each of these groups will include approximately 6-8 individuals.
Group Offerings for Adoptees
Rupture and Reclamation:
A therapy group for BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) adults of all ages who are transracially adopted. This is defined as someone adopted by adoptive parents with a different racial identity than their own. This group is offered virtually for MA and NH residents.
The current cohort started in June and ends in July. If you are interested in future groups, please fill out the form under the “Contact” section.
Therapy approaches for this group include peer support, grief therapy, attachment-based, parts work, cultural empowerment, and liberation-oriented.
Topics will include the 7 core issues of adoption (loss, rejection, shame/guilt, grief, identity, intimacy, and mastery/control), cultural and racial identity exploration, the impact of micro and macro systems, and ways to strengthen and support reconnection and reclamation.
Investment
60-minute group session:
Sliding Scale $20; $40; $60*
Most commercial Aetna, BCBS, Optum, and Point 32 plans accepted. Superbills offered for Out of Network.
*Payment is based on The Green Bottle Sliding Scale. Please refer to the image below. Tier 3 reflects a payment of $60; Tier 2 reflects a payment of $40; Tier 1 reflects a payment of $20.
*Out of pocket costs have increased to above effective starting May 2026.
Scheduling
It is asked for group members to plan on attending all group sessions unless there are urgent or emergent circumstances that prevent this.
Each group member will be allowed a one time waiver of the cancellation/no show fee outside of urgent/emergent circumstances. After that, the client will pay a fee.
