Group Offerings for Chronic Illness
Living With Chronic Illness:
A therapy group for adults ages 25 to 45 who are living with chronic medical conditions. This group is offered virtually for MA and NH residents.
The cohort for the “Living With Chronic Illness” virtual group starting February 3rd is closed. Check back for updates or asked to be added for e-mail updates about future group cohorts.
Therapy approaches for this group include peer support, grief work, compassion-focused, strength-based,, and liberation-oriented.
Common topics include but are not limited to processing losses related to chronic illness, navigating health care systems, exploring identity, strengthening self-advocacy skills, and building community.
Each of these groups will include approximately 6 individuals.
Group Offerings for Adoptees
Rupture and Reclamation:
A therapy group for adults of all ages who are transracially adopted. This is defined as someone adopted by adoptive parents with a different racial identity. This group is offered virtually for MA and NH residents.
The cohort enrolling will meet via Zoom on Tuesdays at 7pm on May 5th, 12th, 19th, and June 2nd, 9th, 17th, 23rd, and 30th. This group will include 4 to 6 individuals.
Therapy approaches for this group include peer support, grief work, attachment-based, parts work, cultural empowerment, and liberation-oriented.
Topics will include the 7 core issues of adoption (loss, rejection, shame/guilt, grief, identity, intimacy, and mastery/control), cultural and racial identity exploration, the impact of micro and macro systems, and ways to strengthen and support reconnection and reclamation.
Investment
60-minute group session:
Sliding Scale $20; $40; $60*
Most commercial Aetna, BCBS, Optum, and Point 32 plans accepted. Superbills offered for Out of Network.
*Payment is based on The Green Bottle Sliding Scale. Please refer to the image below. Tier 3 reflects a payment of $60; Tier 2 reflects a payment of $40; Tier 1 reflects a payment of $20.
*Out of pocket costs have increased to above effective starting May 2026.
Scheduling
It is asked for group members to plan on attending all group sessions unless there are urgent or emergent circumstances that prevent this.
Each group member will be allowed a one time waiver of the cancellation/no show fee outside of urgent/emergent circumstances. After that, the client will pay a fee.
